Taphou Kuki club celebrates Golden Jubilee

Kangpokpi, December 29 2022: The Taphou Kuki Youth Club, Kangpokpi celebrated its Golden Jubilee Thursday at (L) Paojahao Chongloi ground, Taphou Kuki village.

Textiles, commerce and industry minister Nemcha Kipgen, Saikul MLA Kim-neo Haokip Hangshing, DC Kangpokpi Kengoo Zuringla, director (YAS) Phulen Meitei, Taphou Kuki village chief Lenkhomang Chongloi and prominent leaders attended the event.

Minister Nemcha Kipgen unveiled the Taphou Kuki Youth Club Golden Jubilee monolith on behalf of minister Govindas Konthoujam, who was supposed to attend the event as chief guest but could not make it.

It was later dedicated by Upa Kailal Chongloi, chairman, Taphou Christian Church.

Addressing the gathering, minister Nemcha Kipgen appreciated the selfless dedication and the legacy built by founding members of Taphou Kuki Youth Club.

She then urged youth of Taphou Kuki to fight the war against drugs at the highest form to stop poppy cultivation and drug menace in the society.

Unless youth come up strongly with a determination to fight poppy cultivation and drug abuse tooth and nail, such menacing practice will continue and there will be no blessing in the society, she added.
