Bishnupur, January 10 2023: Anti-Drug Campaign, a joint body of Bishnupur district-based civil societies namely UCOBID, MPAL, AMAWOVA & MSF formed under the aegis of All Manipur Untied Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) to save the society from drug menace, on Tuesday set on fire illicit drugs seized from various parts of the district at Ningthoukhong Bazar.

The drugs estimated to be worth around Rs 10 lakh in the market was set destroyed in the presence of AMUCO general secretary Dr Norendro Thokchom, UCOBID president W Basanta, AMAWOVA secretary general H Sumila, Apunba Lup, Ningthoukhong representative RK Tombis-ana Devi, Anti-Drug Campaign, Bishnupur convener RK Rabinkanta, United Rehabilitation Centre Manipur president M Pushpakanta and AMUCO publicity secretary KC Laishram.

As part of the event, volunteers who helped in seizure of the destroyed drugs were encouraged by presenting gifts.
