Cancer awareness, health camp organised

Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre, in collaboration with Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School, Checkon organised a comprehensive cancer awareness, health check-up, and screening programme at the school on Saturday.
The primary objective of the programme was to create awareness about cancer care and general healthcare among the youth, particularly the students of Manipur.
The event had active participation from both teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as students of the secondary school.
The programme included a range of health services, including general health check-up, oral examination, clinical breast examination, cervical screening (HPV), and risk assessment (CRA), as well as an informative awareness session.
Additionally, ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) cards were generated for the students and staff during the programme.
During the awareness session, Karkinos Healthcare emphasised on the significance of proper diet, hygiene, fitness, and adoption of healthy lifestyle.
A medical team, led by Dr K Rajo Singh, and supported by Karkinos Healthcare operation manager W Imo, as well as resident medical officers, nurses, and lab technicians, conducted screening for cancer during the programme.
