LHHS receives award in Nature Positive Tourism

Imphal, August 31 2024: Loktak Homestays and Hospitality Services (LHHS), located at Ithing Sendra Chingkhong, Thanga Part II, Bishnupur district, has won Silver Category Award in Nature Positive Tourism sponsored by the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT) India Foundation and Incredible India.

According to a release by LHHS, the award ceremony took place at the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi on Saturday.

The award was presented to LHHS founder Khwairakpam Nirmala Devi and co-founder Kh Budha Singh by Uttarakhand minister of tourism Satpal Maharaj, ministry of tourism director general Mugdha Sinha and ICRT founder director Dr Harold Goodwin, it added.

The release further conveyed that this recognition celebrates the homestay's role as a guardian of biodiversity at Loktak Lake, highlighting its commitment to a regenerative approach in its operations.
