AR celebrates Hindi Pakhwara, conducts competitions

Imphal, September 20 2024: Assam Rifles of IGAR (S) celebrated Hindi Pakhwara at Keithelmanbi Garrison on Friday as part of a national initiative to promote Hindi in official communication.

According to PRO IGAR (S), various ranks of Assam Rifles participated in competitions including essay writing, poetry recitation, debate, Hindi typing and extempore speech, showcasing their linguistic skills as well as underscoring Assam Rifles' commitment to cultural enrichment and national unity.

Meanwhile, Assam Rifles organised a singing and music competition at Joupi village in Chandel district on Friday to encourage peace amidst the on-going ethnic tensions.

The event featured 30 local participants, who showcased their talents in both singing and instrumental performances and the winners were awarded prizes, added the PRO.
