Mass campaign to end conflict begins

Imphal, August 31 2024: All India Trade Union Congress, Manipur Imphal City Committee has launched a mass campaign at the residence of its member Kh Samungou located at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai on Saturday demanding political solution to the present conflict along with five other demands.

The launch programme was attended by AITUC Manipur general secretary L Sotinkumar; working president S Yaima Singh, vice-president S Manglem Singh, AITUC Imphal City president L Arunkumar and AITUC secretary Kh Brojendro as presidium members.

The demands of the mass campaign include political solution to the present crisis of Manipur, establishment of protection force, stop extortion, enhancement of wages of scheme workers, decommissioning of Loktak project and repeal new labour codes.
