Governor holds meeting with VCs of varsities

Imphal, August 31 2024: Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, held a meeting with the vice-chancellors of state and Central universities at Raj Bhavan, Imphal on Saturday.

In a release, PRO Raj Bhavan informed that Manipur University vice-chancellor N Lokendra Singh; Dhanamanjuri University & Manipur Technical University VC H Gyan Prakash and Manipur University of Culture VC Paonam Gunindro Singh were present in the meeting.

They discussed the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP) and other plans aimed at further enhancing the educational landscape of Manipur, it added.

The release further conveyed that the Governor instructed them to submit a detailed report regarding the implementation of the NEP, and a follow-up meeting will be held on September 16 at Raj Bhavan to discuss it further.
