Imphal, September 06 2024:
The silence of Government of India (GoI) even after Kuki militants used weaponised drones to attack innocent civilians indicates that the centre is overtly as well as covertly supporting the Kuki militants to break apart Manipur, stated AMKIL president Lourembam Nganbi.
Speaking on the sidelines of observance of death anniversary of AMKIL advisor cum Phouoibi Keithel No 3 secretary Paonam Ibemmu held at Sanamahi Laipham, here, on Friday, Nganbi pointed out that now is not the time for the state government to wait for instruction and follow the command from the Centre but endorse the people's sentiment and demand to revert to the pre-merger status as there is no harm if Manipur is not a part of India.
Sincerity of both state and central governments is essential to bring back normalcy in the state, she said, adding that there will no peace and normalcy as long as divide and rule policy of the Gol continues.
