Lions Club organises Lions Quest prog

Lions Club of Imphal, Lions Club of Imphal Valley, and Lions Club of Imphal North jointly organised the "Rohit Mehta Lions Quest Programme" as part of Lions Quest Week at the Children's Home runs by Manipur Mahila Kalyan Samiti in Kabo Leikai (Dewlahland), here, on Saturday.
The event featured a poster-making competition on the theme "Good Social Behaviour for a Positive Life", with participation from the boys residing at the home.
According to a statement of Lions Club of Imphal, LionS Quest, District 322D co-chairperson Dr Leenthoi Ningombam delivered an interactive talk session on "Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)" as a significant part of the programme.
Dr Leenthoi emphasised the importance of developing the heart, mind, and emotions during the crucial developmental phase of a person.
She highlighted that the SEL programme has been successfully adopted by many Lions Clubs worldwide, integrating it with teaching methodologies to nurture students for successful personality development.
The Lions Quest Programme, initiated by Rohit Mehta, the first Indian to become Lions International president, aims to promote social and emotional learning.
In his honour, Lions Quest Week is observed from August 26 to September 1, 2024, by Lions Clubs across the country.
Manipur Mahila Kalyan Samiti secretary Maisnam Pramodini Devi expressed deep gratitude to the three Lions Clubs for organising the programme at the Boys' Home, noting that it would greatly benefit the residents, the statement added.
