Imphal, September 20 2024: An elderly person, who was found unconscious in an area under Thangal bazar on September 7 and subsequently admitted to JNIMS hospital for treatment by a joint team of Elderline, Social Welfare Department and City police station, has passed away.

While urging the family concerned to claim the body by September 22, Porompat police station declared that the corpse would be disposed of as per the law in case no one claims the same.

In a statement released to the press, Porompat police informed that the elderly person passed away on September 18, consequently registered an unnatural death UD Case and deposited the body at JNIMS morgue for identification purposes.
