Ex-tempore, painting competition held

YK College, Wangjing's Environment Club organised a state level ex-tempore speech and on-the-spot painting competition in connection with National Endangered Species' Day, 2024 at the mini conference hall of the college on Friday.
The event was organised under the theme "Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation" .
Additional director of university and higher education P Shantikumar, Lilong Haoreibi College principal professor Md Abdul Sattar Shah and YK College principal Dr Soibam Giri attended the competition as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Environment Club convenor Dr Ningthoujam Shovarani informed that the competition has been organised with the objective to create awareness about the endangered wildlife species and the impact they face due to natural calamities, climate change and growing human population as P Shantikumar commended the College for organising such an event as part of its academic calendar and encouraged students to actively participate in the protection of wildlife and environment.
