18,416 people jabbed in Tengnoupal district

Moreh, July 11 2021: A total of 18,416 people have been administered COVID-19 vaccine in Tengnoupal district as of Saturday.

Of the total, 15,230 were administered the first dose and the remaining 3186 jabbed for the second time.

According to District Immunisation Officer (DIO) Kh Gojen Singh, the vaccination percentage in the district has reached 39.62 as of Saturday.

He shared this information during Vaccination Campaign & Induction cum Congratulation of Union Minister Dr RK Ranjan held at Manipuri Muslim Council, Moreh office on Sunday.

The event was organised jointly by BJP ST Morcha Manipur Pradesh vice president J Khongsai and Manipuri Muslim Council.

During the programme, PHC Moreh in-charge Dr Kh Santikumar Singh said that vaccination is the only means to prevent from getting infected by COVID-19 and appealed to the people to vaccinate as earliest as possible.

During the vaccination campaign, a total of 54 people including staff nurses of PHC Moreh were vaccinated while another 22 people were vaccinated at PHC Moreh.
