Four deaths, 132 new cases in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, July 15 2021: Bishnupur district on Thursday recorded four fatalities due to Covid-19, which is one of the highest single day casualty figures in the recent past.

Bishnupur has seen a total of 166 Covid deaths so far they included 95 males and 71 females.

The district also reported 132 new cases on Thursday till 4 pm taking the total caseload to 5560 .

A release by Bishnupur district information officer informed that with the detection of 132 cases, the district has now 886 active cases out of which 42 patients are in CCC Bishnupur, 31 in CCC Ningthoukhong, 33 in isolation ward, three in high dependency unit and 14 in emergency ward of the district hospital, 333 at community isolation centres, 330 under home isolation and 100 in hospitals outside the district.

The report also said that 3085 people were administered Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday taking the total of vaccinated people in the district to 70,985 including 5518, who have completed the inoculation.
