Heirok MLA cash aids Covid-19 victim families

Thoubal, July 11 2021: Heirok MLA Thokchom Radheshyam on Sunday distributed second phase of monetary aid of Rs 50,000 each to nine families from Heirok assembly constituency whose family members died due to Covid-19.It can be mentioned that in the first phase, the MLA provided aid of Rs 50,000 each to four Covid victim families of the AC.

Sunday's distribution programme was held at the Community Home Isolation Centre opened for Heirok AC in adherence to Covid-19 SOPs during which the MLA handed over the aid to the families.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Radheshyam informed that the aid was provided after consulting with the local Covid Task Force and Committee to help the families in their time of need.

He also expressed his deep condolences and shared the grief of the bereaved families.

The MLA further reiterated his announcement of providing compensation of Rs 10 lakh if anyone from the AC dies in three years due to the Covid vaccine.

He reassured that the vaccine is not there to harm anybody but is an only protection against the pandemic.

So, do not trust rumours and get yourself vaccinated, he advised.
