Shiv Sena to develop Lairam Khullen playground

Imphal, December 10 2022: A team of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Manipur led by its president Toijam Debananda visited Lairam Khullenin Phungyar AC, Kamjong district on Saturday and initiated steps to develop a playground in the area.

Speaking on the sidelines, Debananda informed that Phungyar AC is the first location to be toured by the team as part of the party's endeavour to visit every cranny of the state.

During an interaction with the denizens of Lairem Khullen, the village chief and villagers conveyed their various grievances to the team.

Although the village needs many facilities, one of their main demands was for developing a proper playground in the village ahead of a joint sports event scheduled on January 10 next year, which is being organised by Lairam Khullen and other villages.

As such, the team decided to take up the task of preparing the playground, he added.

Informing that the development of the playground is likely to be completed by January 5 next year, Debananda accused the ruling government of indulging in nepo tism and caring only about what is needed to maintain its image.

Thus, Shiv Sena will be visiting remote areas in other constituencies and try to mend the shortcomings as much as it can, he stated.

Peorei Chithung, an elderly of Lairam Khullen appreciated the team for its gesture to develop the playground for the village.

He informed that although repeated requests Were made to the government, the minister and MLA concerned, no action have been taken up till date.

Thus, the village will be pledging its full support to Shiv Sena in the next election, he declared.
