Kiran JAC serves Nov 21 deadline

A public meeting held in connection with the controversial death of Laishram Kiran of Kontha Ahallup Maning Leikai resolved to form 'JAC Against the Killing of Laishram Kiran' and adopted a number of resolutions.
The JAC has also served an ultimatum to the government for bringing out the truth behind the killing within November 21 and warned of launching agitations with the support of public in case of failing to do so.
Laishram Kiran was brutally assaulted by unknown miscreants and left to die at Heingang Khong.
He was undergoing treatment at RIMS but succumbed to injuries.
Along with forming the JAC with James Heiyam as convenor, the public meeting held at Kontha Ahallup community hall also adopted a number of resolutions.
The JAC convenor informed reporters that it served an ultimatum to the government for investigating the incident within November 21, failing which the JAC along with the public will launch intense form of agitation.
The body being kept at JNIMS mortuary after conducting post mortem will not be claimed till the culprits are identified and arrested, declared the convenor.

who accompanied Kiran on the day the incident happened, were picked up by Heingang police for interrogation and further remanded to police custody, he said.
