Road block to hinder movement of Army continues

Blocking of roads to stop movement of India Army to various parts of the district continued on Thurs-day with people demanding removal of central security forces contending they have lost trust on them.
Roads were blocked along the Melaground Yairipok Lamkhai to Kasom Khullen stretch at Tomjing Chingk - hong, Kshetrileikai, Moirang Palli, Wangkhem, Huidrom, Singa, Siphal Leikai, Bish-nunaha Mayai Leikai, Pukhri Achouba Mapal, Yairipok Keithel, Bamol Leikai, Kekru & Khoirom and between Asian Highway stretch of Nepra Company to Charang-pat Nongpok Sekmai with large tree trunks & woods, water supply pipes, etc., with protestors keeping round the clock vigil.
Speaking to media per-sons, one of women protes-tors at Wangkhem Keithel demanded that the 500 agreement between state and central governments with Kuki militants should be withdrawn as the vio-lence unleashed by the mil-itants targeted the innocent public.
Decrying that the Indi-an Army deployed in the state to protect the common people has failed to perform its duty, she said that they do not trust the Army and should be removed from the state, so that people can live life normally.
