Widow's Day / awareness prog held

Kakching, June 23 2021: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Thoubal under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority, Lamphelpat organised observance of the International Widow's Day cum Legal Awareness Programme through virtual mode on Wednesday.

The programme was attended by DLSA, Thoubal secretary and Chief Judicial Magistrate Shanta Devi, DLSA, Thoubal chairperson and District & Sessions Judge Binny Ngangom.

As resource person of the awareness programme, district social welfare officer Arambam Kameshwor Singh delivered a lecture on the topic 'Discussion on the various benefit schemes for widows under Social Welfare Department and its implementation thereof' .

Legal Aid Clinic coordinators and para legal volunteers under DLSA Thoubal, panel lawyers, front office, retainer lawyers, widows of Swadar Home, Wangbal and widows from various parts of the district also participated in the programme.
