MP Sanajaoba donates Covid fighting tools, medicines

Imphal, May 30 2021: Titular king and Rajya Sabha MP Sanajaoba Leishemba donated COVID-19 fighting tools and medicines at different places of the state including Community Home Isolation Centre opened at Ningombam Junior High School by Lainingthou Sang Sang Ningthou Devas Committee.

The donation made as part of second phase of 'Seva Hi Sangathan' programme organised in connection with completion of seven years of Narendra Modi led government included cash and items like oximeter, face mask, sanitizer, hand glove and medicines.

After distributing the items, Sanajaoba said that the second wave of COVID-19 has severely affected that country and PM Narendra Modi does not want to celebrate completion of seven years of his governance in a grand manner at this crucial juncture.

Instead of celebrating, the PM wants to help the poor and needy people and accordingly the donations were made, he said.

The MP maintained that the government of Mnaipur is working hard to contain the pandemic and appealed to people to extend help to the government in the fight against the pandemic.

The titular king handed over the donated items to different clubs and organisations like Energetic Youth Development Organisation, Kongba Youth Organisation, Ghari Youth Club, Yumnam Khunou Morning Star Club and Covid Task Force of BJP Thoubal Mandal.
