DDU Food & Beverage training centre inaugurated

Gyan Jyoti Foundation inaugurated Deen Dayal Upadhya Gramin Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) food and beverage training centre at Training Centre Village No 8, Mantripukhri yesterday.
Additional Chief Secretary, RD&PR, Manipur, MH Khan, Director Gyan Jyoti Foundation, Dr Pranab Baishya and State Mission Director MSRLM, MJ Pradip Chandren attended the event as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the event, MH Khan said that out of the total population of Manipur, only 50,000 to 60,000 are employed in Government offices.The chance for the Government to provide a job for everyone is very limited.
As such private sector and self-employment will play huge role in solving the problem of unemployment to an extent.
He continued that the youth of Manipur are very competent and as such proper training will go a long way in ensuring a bright future for them.
Under DDU-GKY project, 70 percent of the people will be given employment after the training.
If the people are properly trained their job prospect will also increase.
