AR, CSOs facilitate mass vaccination programme

Imphal, August 06 2021: A mass vaccination programme was organised bv AMUCO and UCOBID under the aegis of CMO Bishnupur in collaboration with Village Level Covid-19 Task Force Nachou formed under All Nachou United Clubs' Organisation and Nachou Gram Panchayat at Nachou Maning Leikai community hall on Friday.

In a release, UCOBID publicity secretary Th Gopen informed that during the programme 259 people were vaccinated against Covid-19.A mass vaccination programme was also held in collaboration with Kwakta Covid-19 Task Force for denizens of Kwakta Ward No 1, 5 and 6 during which 200 people received Covid-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, Imphal East United Clubs Organisation (IEUCO) and South East United Clubs Organisation (SEUCO) under the aegis of AMUCO and with support of South East Development Organisation Centre, Kongba Khunou in collaboration with district administration of Imphal East Manipur, Doctor For You Team and CMO Imphal East organ ised a mass vaccination programme at Imoinu Keithel, Kongba Khunou on Friday.

In a release, IEUCO said 200 people were vaccinated during the programme.

The event was attended by AMUCO president Ph Nando Luwang, IEUCO president Takhelambam Dijo Mangang, general secretary Tensubam Kalachan, publicity secretary Puyam Ingocha Khuman and finance secretary Huyam Khoikhoi.

On the other hand, 44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sect/IGAR (East) organised a vaccination cum medical camp for the workers of the road construction company in Tamenglong on Friday.

In a release, PIB (Defence) stated that the vaccination cum Medical camp at Salungpang was inaugurated by Tamenglong battalion commandant.

He also praised these silent workers who are contributing immensely towards betterment and development of the region.

The medical staff of the battalion administered Covid vaccine to 150 beneficiaries at the construction company camp site.

Along with vaccination drive, the battalion organised a free wellness camp for benefit of workers and general public in the area.

During the camp, the medical team of 44 Assam Rifles attended and examined over 95 workers and distributed general medicines to them.

The CMO of the battalion also conducted blood and urine tests free of cost for the workers at the camp site.
