NRFM greets on its 10th Raising Day

The Central Executive of National Revolutionary Front of Manipur (NRFM) has extended warmest greetings to the people of Manipur on occasion of its 10th Raising Day, which falls on January 7.In a release, the central executive acknowledged that it is due to the support and cooperation of the people that it is still able to fight for the independence of Manipur.
After remaining as an independent sovereign kingdom for over 2000 years, Kangleipak (Manipur) is now a subservient state.
For NRFM, an independent Kangleipak is the priority and one must be ready to sacrifice their selves for the same, while at the same time, consider all those saying otherwise as enemies.
The release continued: "The merger agreement of September 24, 1949 has been a curse for the people of Manipur.
As such, what can the people want from India other than independence? While some have given up on their integrity and sold-off Kangleipak for their greed.
The power forces in Delhi have converted Kangleipak into their own personal drug factory.
Additionally, many indigenous people of the state, who have been killed in the fight for independence, are currently resting in unmarked graves in the hills and the valley.
India has basically convert ed Kangleipak into an inhospitable place for indigenes, while carving up niches for outsiders and mixing up the blood apart from imposing many draconian Acts.
"We should not forget that the mainland Indians do not consider us as their brethren but rather a means of propagating their population.
At one time, some people wearing the caps of INC hoisted the Indian flag in the heart of Imphal and demanded for Kangleipak to be merged with India.
The said people, who are now in old age, are regretting their decision.
Although Kangleipak is now under India, NRFM appreciates all those who have understood the consequences of their wrong decision.
However, this does not mean the indigenes should keep their heads down but instead fight for independence even to their last breath, while avoiding making compromises at all cost.
"Although there is some laxity in the attitude of Indians towards the northeast, it is given for a master to provide some freedom to whoever he/she considers as a subordinate.
Thus, the people need to question themselves for how long they plan to remain dependent on India.
If we truly want to save Kangleipak, we need to take back the sovereignty we have given away to India, in addition to resolving the "enemies" within", it stated.
The Central executive then cautioned those who have come forward to represent the people against creating unnecessary confusion amongst the people.
If one truly loves Kangleipak and its people, he/she must be prepared to fight for independence or help resolve the flaws in the ongoing struggle.
"NRFM firmly believes that the only way to save the dying Kangleipak is for the people to.
stop being divisive amongst themselves or be influenced by the temporary gains, but summon the courage to join the movement.
It is the duty of insurgents to remove all hazardous obstacles in the matter.
It is up to the people to come together and try to understand the suffering Kangleipak is enduring now, in addition to whose control Manipur is under and how the situation could be restored to its original form.
An example could be taken of the influence of drugs in Kangleipak 10 years ago and the same 10 years in the future," it stated.
The central executive then urged the people to understand the interconnection in the blatant smuggling of drugs into the state, right under our noses, while contending that NRFM will continue to crusade for independence, which rightfully belongs to Kangleipak, without any fear or misgivings.
