Stage set for 44th Short Play competition, 2013

In connection with observance of Manipur Theatre Day, Theatre Centre Manipur (TCM) is all set to organize the 44th short play competition for creative director from 9th October to 16th October at Manipur Dramatic Union Hall.
Announcing this at a press meeting at the TCM office located at Singjamei Chingamakhong yesterday, Naba Wareppa, Chairman of the Festival committee in all 17 theatre groups would be participating in the competition.
According to the schedule of the competition "Inthoklabiof Kangla Theatre, Uchiwa and "Kombirei" of Juvenile Theatre, Kongba would be staged on the first day, "Statue" of Manipur Dramatic Union and "Ariba Sel" of Liverty Theatre, Kakching on the second day, "Nupi" of LCYCCCCI, Lilong and "Ningthemnubi" of LDU, Langmeidong on the third day, "Laireibakta Koireng Thangal" of Mekola Dramatic Union, "Anouba Yug" of Soraren Repertory Theatre and "Meitei Shan" of Yumjao Lairembi DCU on the fourth day, "Ingengi Nonghou" of PADA, Top Khongnangkhong and "Sharel Chanba" of LYDU, Lairenkabi on the fifth day, "Asumna Loikhi Punshi" of MAU, Mongsangei and "Leela Sanglengi Mami" of Rhythm of Manipur, Uripok on the sixth day, "Devaki" of Bashikhong Dramatic Assn.
and "Khuyol Sagei Mangkhiba" of Sangeet Kala Sangam,Khurai on the seventh day and on the eighth and last day, "Mongphamgi Yumbi" of NETA, Heingang and "The Hunter" of Theatre Mirror, Imphal would be staged.
Naba Wareppa informed that the prizes of the competition would be distributed on October 21.On this day, three awards given by the Theatre Centre would also be presented to the three eminent theatre personalities namely L.Kirshorjit, director of Paradise Theatre, L.Brajamohon, director of Rupmahal Theatre and L.Jadumani, State Kala Akademi Awardee.
