Rev L Simon Raomai spoke about cultural decline in the society and stressed the need to preserve one's culture and identity on the closing day of Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Longmai Baptist Church at Longmai Part-2 playground, Noney district headquarters.
During his closing sermon, Rev L Simon said that too much westernization of our society is leading to gradual decline of culture and identity.
"Truth, justice and moral integrity were there in the olden days.
But today there no longer are dignity of work, culture of love, culture of simplicity, culture of unity which have resulted in disunity, confusion and leadership crisis in our society", the preacher said.
He continued that Jesus Christ had come to the world not only to preach the Gospel but also to serve and teach the culture.
"Christianity does not matter with our diets/dress and culture.
Therefore, contextualization is very much needed in our society as did Jesus and His ministry during His earthly time", Rev L Simon added.
