National Integration Tour flagged in at Koirengei

The National Integration Tour, organised under Operation Sadbhavana by the Spear Corps of the Indian Army for nine Youth Ambassadors from Manipur, culminated in a grand ceremony held at Koirengei, Imphal East district on Wednesday.
According to a release issued by PIB (Defence Wing), the tour, aimed at fostering national unity and promoting cultural understanding, was flagged off by the General Officer Commanding, Red Shield Division on October 14, 2024, from Koirengei.
During the 10 days tour, the participants visited Army establishments, places of historical importance and got an opportunity to interact with civil dignitaries and senior officers of Army while visiting Kolkata.
Tawang and Shillong.
At Shillong, the youth ambassadors had the privilege of meeting with C H Vijayshankar, Governor of Meghalaya and DG Assam Rifles.
In Kolkata, the ambassadors visited the iconic Victoria Memorial, Kitchener House, Headquarters of Eastern Command, Eastern Command Museum and went on a Heritage walk at Fort William.
During the reception ceremony held at Koirengei on October 23, the youth ambassadors were felicitated by the GOC, Red Shield Division.
The National Integration Tour provided the youth ambassadors with a unique and invaluable opportunity to engage with the Indian Army and experience India's diverse cultural fabric.
These interactions and experiences will leave a lasting impression, helping to build connections and deepen their understanding of India's unity in diversity.
