Home Minister chairs meeting on SSA

Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam chaired a virtual preparatory meeting this afternoon from his office at the New Secretariat to ensure the smooth and effective organisation of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
The meeting was attended virtually by Deputy Commissioners.
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is a month-long, Nationwide public service and outreach campaign running from September 17 to October 17, 2026 .
Outlining the implementation roadmap for the campaign, the Minister stressed that eight priority programmes have been identified for the State.

The eight priority programmes are Ashirwad Ka Diya, Angan Ka Utsav, Seva Setu Abhiyan, Chitra Seva, Seva Jyoti Yatra, Jan Sevak Mahakumbh, Kahani Badlav Ki, and the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Govindas stated that the campaign will begin tomorrow with the Ashirwad Ka Diya initiative.
He added that the opening day will feature blood donation camps at six locations in the State: RIMS, Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI), American Oncology Institute, Imphal, Thoubal District Hospital, Bishnupur District Hospital and Senapati District Hospital.
The Minister stated that district administrations are mandated to organise at least one registration camp in their districts for left-out beneficiaries of flagship schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and Ration Cards, etc., should organising them across all Assembly Constituencies prove unfeasible.
He further highlighted that painting competitions should be conducted under the Chitra Seva in the schools.
He called upon all district administrations to work in close coordination with the elected representatives and stakeholders to ensure that the objectives of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan are achieved effectively.
The DCs highlighted their preparedness for the campaign in their respective districts.
During the virtual meeting, the Minister was accompanied by Commissioner Home N Ashok Kumar, Commissioner GAD Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary (Home) M Veto Singh and Joint Secretary (GAD) Thokchom Bedajit.
