Ex-MLA vows completion of pending works

Ex-MLA of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa assembly constituency Soibam Subhaschandra has assured of completing all the pending works, which he initiated before his resignation, within one year if he is re-elected as the representative of the constituency.
While inaugurating a community hall constructed from his own source at Lairenjam Awang Leikai on Saturday, Subhaschandra said that he resigned from the state legislative assembly in the larger interest of the state and owing to facing certain roadblocks in taking up development initiatives for the constituency.
He still remember how people of Lairenjam played major role in electing him as the MLA of the constituency.
Ex-MP late Wahengbam Angou introduced him into politics, he said and urged the people of Lairenjam to dedicate the community hall in the memory of the late leader.
Earlier, he promised to install a high mast lamp at Mekola junction and people of the area are today getting the benefits of the lamp.
People of Lairenjam are now getting tap water facility.
The government introduced School Fagathansi Mission after seeing the development model of Malom Megha High School, which has witnessed manifold increase in student enrolment, Subhaschandra maintained.
He also assured of developing Kha Imphal School under the mission, and appealed to all concerned not to bring politics in the education sector and help in improving schools.
The state cabinet has approved upgrade of Mekola PHC into CHC following approval from the ministry but the process has stopped midway, he said.
Maintaining that he could not complete many development initiatives as he resigned early, Subhaschandra urged for public support so that he could complete the pending projects within a short period and take up more development works in the constituency.
