Bishnupur, August 19 2021: BJP Oinam Mandal felicitated Union minister of state for external affairs & education Dr RK Ranjan at its office on Thursday and conveyed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for induction of the Inner Manipur parliamentary constituency MP into the union cabinet.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Ranjan reiterated that he has become a Union minister due to support of the people to the BJP and assured to strive for bringing all round development in the state.

He further said that the new education policy initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will bring change in education sector apart from giving a new spirit to this sector.

The new policy has many features and notable among them are continuing education through online and introduction of Artificial Intelligence from class VI standard onwards, he said adding that PM Modi wants every citizen of the country to be self-sustainable and the new education policy was formulated based on this objective.

According to RK Ranjan, he was given external affairs portfolio so that foreign funding could be brought to eight states of the North East.

He then urged people of the state to support BJP while maintaining that the party is for the people and works for the people.

The event was also attended by Oinam MLA and MPCB & KVIB chairman L Radhakishore Singh, ex-Union minister Th Chaoba Singh, ex-MLA H Borbabu, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi, former BJP state presidents M Bhorot and Sh Shantikumar Sharma, BJP vice president N Nimbus, BJP Bishnupur District president RK Bimola Devi and BJP Oinam Mandal president Th Mangi Singh.

Delivering the key note address, MLA Radhakishore said the dream of BJP has been realised with the induction of RK Ranjan into the Union council of minister and this has been possible due to the faith people of the state have in BJP.

While asserting that the N Biren-led BJP government has brought significant changes in Manipur in the last four and half years, he also contended that narrative over separatism has been on the wane and bandh/blockade no more a significant issue in the state.

He also urged Dr Ranjan to take up projects suited to Manipur particularly in the education sector.

In a similar event hosted by BJP Manipur Pradesh former vice president Thokchom Jadumani at Sorojini oil pump, Khangabok on Wednesday, Dr Ranjan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inducted him to the Union council of minister much due to people of Manipur's love for BJP and PM's love for people of the state and appealed people to thank the Prime Minister collectively.

Speaking at the reception function organised in his honour after returning from Moreh as part of his Jan Ashirvad Yatra, Dr Ranjan pointed out that in spite of many parliamentarians mandated by the people of Manipur since the time of Nehru none of them were inducted into Union council of minister.

However, the BJP government has provided this opportunity while considering itself as representative of the people.

This has showcased clearly that BJP is a people oriented party and party works as per pulse of the people, RK Ranjan said and assured to work for the welfare of the people of both the hills and valley.

The Union minister was also accorded warm welcome by volunteers of clubs and organisations of Thoubal led by social activist Konsam Maichal Singh at Family Mart located opposite to Thoubal Police Station.

Another social worker Leitanthem Basanta too felicitated RK Ranjan at Oil Pump located near ThoubaLbazar followed by similar events organised by BJP workers at several places in Thoubal district such as Khongjom.
