Imphal, October 23 2024: The Office of the District Malaria Officer (DVBDCP), Imphal West organised a 1-Day Sensitization Programme on "Vector Borne Diseases" for students & faculties at Free Progress Academy, Konthoujam today.

It was attended by Dr Maibam Rocky, District Malaria Officer, Imphal West; L Indrakumar Singh, Principal, Free Progress Academy and L Shanoubi as presidium members, said a release issued by Free Progress Academy.

Sangeetda Devi, District Consultant, District Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (DVBDCP), Imphal West also attended the programme as a resource person.

During the event, Dr Maibam Rocky gave awareness on Malaria, Dengue and other vector borne diseases, its causes & ways of transmission and precautionary measures against these diseases.

Expressing concern over the recent surge of Dengue cases in the State, L Indrakumar appealed to the public to keep the surrounding of the houses and localities clean to prevent the spread of the vector borne diseases.
