The Apunba Manipur Matam Ishei Kanglup (AMMIK) will resume its concerts/shows from today after a brief suspension.
Announcing the resumption for the traditional festival season, AMMIK secretary K Bobin Singh said all performances will now be subject to a strict code of conduct.
In a statement, he informed clubs, Meira Paibi groups, local associations and market bodies that invite AMMIK artistes to strictly follow the guidelines.
According to the code, organisers must obtain necessary permission for the venue and inform the local club and Meira Paibi concerned.
Collecting money on stage in a manner that disturbs the audience has been prohibited.
The shows must begin at 6 pm and conclude by 10:30 pm, and safety barricades must be installed in front of the stage.
Organisers have also been asked to deploy sufficient volunteers to ensure a disturbance-free show for the audience and to complete all payment formalities before the programme begins.
AMMIK cautioned that it will cancel shows if the guidelines are violated and requested organisers unable to comply not to invite its artistes.
It further stated that it will not be responsible for any untoward incident arising out of non-compliance.
