Imphal, October 23 2024: The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has set up a new Sekta Branch during a public meeting held today at Sekta Makha Leikai Community Hall.

As per a press release issued by COCOMI, the COCOMI Sekta Branch will cover the areas of Sawombung, Itham, Nugoi, Sekta, Pungdongbam, Loushangkhong, Yourbung and Huidrom.

Notably, Haobam Yaiskul Meitei was appointed as the chairman of the new COCOMI branch; Haobam Rajen as the vice chairmen; and Luwangshangbam Landan as the convenor.

Haorongbam Bidyasagar, W Bhim, Khoisanam Sanjoy, Phijam Ingbam Meitei, Chabungbam Biken, Sagoshem Romen, Yumkhaibam Memcha and Mutum Anandi Leima were appointed as co-convenors.

The meeting also appointed 6 new executives of the COCOMI Sekta Branch.

The public meeting was graced by Somorendro Thokchom, coordinator, COCOMI; Yumkhaibam Surjitkumar Khuman, media coordinator, COCOMI and COCOMI assistant coordinators Joychandra Konthoujam, Thiyam Sharatchandra and Bosan Singh as presidium members.
