A one-day seminar on 'Credit Guaranteed Scheme, Credit Rating and North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy 2007' was held at Hotel Classic here today.
The seminar was organised by the All Manipur Entrepreneurs' Association under the aegis of Development Commissioner (MSME), Credit Guaranteed Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises and Onikra Credit Rating Agency of India, New Delhi.
Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, Bijoy Koijam, Additional Director of Commerce and Industries department, V Tualthang and president of All Manipur Entrepreneurs' Association, S Rishikumar graced as chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
MLA and Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, Bijoy Koijam said, it is easier to announce a particular plan than to ensure the success of the plan.
Though there are many entrepreneurs in the state, there are more who did not perform their works.
Loan repaying rate is also very low among the entrepreneurs.
He said, it is very encouraging to note that the work culture is being prevalent among the entrepreneurs of late.The technical session of the seminar was moderated by Mishir Ali Ahmed, Assistant General Manager of State Bank of India, Imphal Branch.
Assistant Manager of Small Industries Development Bank of India, Rajeshkumar spoke on 'Credit Guaranteed Scheme and its Benefits' .
Senior Manager of Onikra Credit Rating Agency of India, New Delhi, Sailesh Wanghmare spoke on 'Credit Rating and its Importance to MSMEs.
Zonal General Manager of NSIC, JK Mahanta spoke on 'NSIC and its entrepreneur's friendly policy while Branch Manager of North Eastern Development Finance Cooperation, Imphal Branch, O Somorendro lectured on North East Industrial and investment promotion policy 2007 .
