Active tally crosses double digit, two fresh cases detected

Imphal, October 04 2022:
Number of active cases rose to 11 on Tuesday as government bulletins reported two new positive cases of Covid-19 from two districts out of 139 samples tested in the last 24 hours with positivity rate of 1.4 per cent.
The two fresh cases (1 male & 1 female) are residents of Imphal West and Kakching districts.
With no recovery on Tuesday, the number of active cases rose to 11, out of which, nine are in home isolation.
There are 36 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 62 in RIMS.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2149 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,818 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 151 D-type and 11 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities and 319 vaccine doses administered that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,44,023, out of which 13,26,502 had received the second doses and 2,67,613 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49820), Imphal East (32036), Thoubal (10293), Churachandpur (11285), Kangpokpi (3185), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9978), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3367), Kakching (6978), Chandel (2796), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1213), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
