Elangbam Panthoi felicitated

Teachers and students of Practising Junior High School Kakching hosted a felicitation programme in honour of international footballer (goalkeeper) Elangbam Panthoi Chanu today.
Practising Junior High School Kakching is reportedly Panthoi's alma mater as she did her schooling here.
The event was graced by Naorem Renuka, Principal, Practising Junior High School Kakching; senior teacher Naorem Jogendrajit and Elangbam Panthoi's mother and Keirak Gram Pradhan Elangbam Ongbi Shanti Leima.
Addressing the gathering, Panthoi narrated the hurdles she faced while initially starting out in this field.
In the face of many hardships and defeats, consistent hardwork is key to attain one's goal, she told the students.
Elangbam Panthoi currently plays for Metro United Women FC and is the first Indian to play professional football in Australia.
