Financial literacy camp

Tamenglong, October 26 2016:
A one day financial literacy awareness camp was organised by NABARD at Pretty Lamb Institute, Tamenglong district HQs today.
The programme was attended by 90 students.
P Boicha, DDM NABRD gave a presentation on financial inclusion.
He said that the aim of financial inclusion is to increase financial outreach to under-served and unserved population and added that financial education is important for people who are financially poor, women who take responsibility in household cash management and youth.
K Themson Maring, Branch Manager, UBI Tamenglong Main Branch also spoke about the importance of having saving bank account because when they are going outside the district for further study they money which can be easy fulfil by depositing it by the parents to their respective bank account and he also informed about Education loan.
The awareness programme was concluded with a quiz and by giving price to the participants who give right answer.
