Imphal, November 20 2013:
The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has charged the Indian authorities of inciting bloodshed in Manipur.
According to a statement issued by Publicity Secretary of RPF Roben Khuman, the Indian agencies are actively involved in spreading violence and hatred among the people of Manipur.
The people should realize the true face of the Indians and remain aloof from all activities that could lead to bloodshed among own brothers and sisters.
The family members of police commandos and state security forces must also advised them not to be carried away by the agenda of Indian agencies.
They must not be involved in bloodshed among their own people, the RPF said.
Further, it said that the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has indicted the police as main human rights violator and not the army.
The Indian Government has deployed a large number of security personnel comprising army and paramilitary forces to counter insurgency in the region.
The State has been put under the military law by imposing AFSPA for the past many decades.
International organizations are really concerned with increasing human rights violation in the State and they are now demanding for the repeal of AFSPA.
The Indian security forces have so far killed and raped many people including the victims of Langjing firing of April 26, 1980, Heirangoithong killing of 1984, Operation Bluebird, RIMS and Malom massacres.
The people of Manipur have been protesting against gross violation of human rights by Indian forces.
The time has come for all people to stand united against such sinister policy of Indian Government, the RPF enjoined.
