Moirang, May 17 2024: The 21st Restoration Day was observed today at Ibudhou Thangjing Moirang Laikol today commemorating the restoration of Ibudhou Thangjing Moirang to the people of Moirang from the hands of Meitei Kanglei Ningthou.

Paying floral tributes to the memorial stones of the 16 eminent personalities which include former Chief Minister of Manipur M Koireng, former Education Minister H Nillamani Singh who led the restoration movement was the main highlight of the observance.

Moirang AC MLA Th Shanti led in paying the floral tributes.

The 21st Restoration Day was jointly organised by Thangjing Seva Mandal Moirang; Ingu Phamnaiba and Phamnaibi Cheirap Loishang and Amaiba Amaibi Loishang.

Speaking at the occasion, Th Shanti stressed that the people of Moirang are able to worship Ibudhou Thangjing Moirang and are able to hold the sacred rituals of Ibudhou Thangjing Moirang Haraoba due to the efforts of the departed eminent leaders who fought collectively.
