RPF gives revolutionary salute to three cadres

The proscribed RPF has given revolutionary salute to three cadres, belonging to its armed wing PLA, who the outfit said were killed by Army on Saturday near B Bongjang village under Chandel district.
As per a press statement from Chief Department of Publicity, Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) Bangkim, second lieutenant Amar, real name Kangjam Romi, sergeant Shyam, real name Tongbram Samananda and corporal Andy, real name Chongtham Nabanta had left their camp for medical treatment when Army personnel shot and killed them on their way.
It said the three slain cadres, who were in civilian dress, were unarmed when the killing took place.
Two of them died in the indiscriminate firing from the Army on the spot while the third one managed to escape from the site, but later succumbed to bullet injuries.
They were all working with the general headquarters of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), Bangkim said.
Lieutenant Amar, son of K Babu and K Ongbi Kaboklei, was a resident of Phoubakchao Ikhai bazaar.
Sergeant Shyam, son of T Biren and T Ongbi Ibeyaima, was from Thanga Khunsem.
Corporal Andy, son of Ch Bhomendro and Ch Ongbi Udoirani, hailed of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai.
The RPF statement further said that condolence was held at the outfit's every unit, department and station to pay respect to the three cadres.
RPF and its armed wing PLA mourn the death of the three cadres and share the anguish of the bereaved families, their relatives and dear ones, the statement added.
