RIMS announces Special Breast Screening Clinic

Imphal, October 18 2024: As part of the observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Department of Radiation Oncology in collaboration with the Radiodiagnosis Department Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, will organise a Special Breast Screening Clinic at the Radiation Oncology OPD Block, RIMS, Imphal from October 21 to Octobers, 2024.The clinic will be open on all working days from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

In a release, RIMS informed that the initiative aims to encourage the community to prioritize breast health by promoting breast screening and testing.

Diagnostic tests including Ultrasonography (USG) of the breast and Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) and OPD ticket for breast screening will be provided free of charge.

RIMS has urged all to take advantage of this vital opportunity for early detection and to enhance awareness about breast cancer.
