State level World Kidney Day observed

Imphal, March 19 2018:
The l3th anniversary of World Kidney Day on the theme "Kidney s and Women's Health : Include Value, Empower" was observed on March 17 along with a State Level CME programme on the topic "Renal Replacement Therapy and CKD - An Overview & Understanding Urinary Stone Diseases" at Imperial Hall of Classic Grande.
In connection with the observance, free OPD for Urology and Nephrology patients was conducted at Churachandpur on March 17 and March 18 at SKY Hospital.
The function was organised by National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS), State Health Society, NHM in association with East West Healthcare and Research Institute (EWHRI) Imphal and AMRI Hospitals, Kolkata.
It was graced by Dr K Rajo Singh, Director of Health Services as chief guest and Dr L Shyamkishore Singh, president EWHRI as president, Dr H Ranjit Singh, Additional Director (MC), Dr S Manikanta Singh, Additional Director (PF), of Medical Directorate and Prof L Sharatchandra Singh, Nephrologist, RIMS as guests of honour.
Dr Amitava Mukherjee, Consultant Urologist and Dr Arghya Majumdar, Consultant Nephrologist , AMRI Hospital, Kolkata attended the CME programme as resource persons.
