9th State Level Aquarium Exhibition / Flower Show begins

Imphal, October 18 2024: The 9th State Level Aquarium Exhibition Cum Flower Show organised by Manipur Science & Technology Council (MASTEC)began today at Manipur Science Aquarium, DM University campus, Imphal.

The inaugural function was graced by Hungyo Worshang, Secretary, Science & Technology and Member Secretary, MASTEC; Chingakham Shachi, Joint Secretary, Science & Technology; Homila Hong-rei, Director, Science & Technology and Dr L Maniketan.

Speaking on the occasion, Hungyo Worshang said that the initiative taken up by MASTEC to showcase locally available fishes and plants along with exotic varieties is a very good step towards popularisation of aquarium and floriculture in the State.

She also stressed on the need to conserve indigenous flora & fauna, and preserve the rich biodiversity of the State.

The seven days Exhibition Cum Flower Show will end on October 24, 2024 .
