Chandel, Churachandpur set for Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

Preparatory meetings were held at Chandel and Churachandpur districts to choke out plan for the upcoming nationwide month-long celebration of 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' which is scheduled to start from tomorrow, September 17.The nationwide campaign, which marks 25 years of public service and governance of PrimeMinister Narendra Modi, is centred on three broad themes - Seva (service), Sushasan (good governance) and Antyodaya (welfare of the last person).
The campaign seeks to promote citizen outreach, public participation, delivery of welfare schemes and community-level service activities.
Chandel
Deputy Commissioner, Chandel Mamoni Doley chaired the district-level organising committee meeting at the Conference Hall DC complex, Chandel in connection with Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' which is scheduled to start from tomorrow, September 17.The month-long celebration includes diya-lighting at Amrit Sarovar sites, Mini-Secretariats, hospitals and Government offices.
Painting, essay and elocution competitions will be organised under the programme 'India of my Dreams' among schools and colleges on the theme 'My Vision of Viksit Manipur'.
Other programmes include Aangan Ka Utsav comprising of visits and interaction with frontline Anganwadi Workers and ASHAs, and nutritionawareness activities and camps.
Beneficiary enrolment and verification, documentation and applications for various government schemes will also be undertaken during this month-long event.
Under Seva Mera Yogdan, cleanliness drives will be conducted at markets, schools and colleges and office premises.
CCpur
A preparatory meeting for the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, scheduled to be observed from September 17 to October 17, was held at the DC Conference Hall today.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, reviewed the action plan and various activities proposed to be undertaken in the district during the campaign.
Lalrobul Fimate, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur, presented the district action plan, outlining the programmes, timelines and responsibilities of the departments concerned.
The campaign's stated objectives include citizen outreach and public engagement across districts, last-mile delivery of welfare schemes, identification of eligible beneficiaries who remain uncovered, youth and community participation in service and governance, health and nutrition initiatives through Anganwadi and ASHA networks, and cleanliness and environmental activities at the community level.
The meeting was attended by representatives of MLAs of the Assembly constituencies in the district, prominent and distinguished persons from the district, District Level Officers of various departments, and representatives of NGOs and civil society organisations.
Additional Deputy Commissioners I and II, Churachandpur, attended as co-opted members.
