JCILPS lines up next round of stir

JCILPS has lined up another round of agitations that will go on in pursuit of the demand for ILPS implementation from tomorrow.
Addressing a press conference at their Sega Road Konjeng Hajari Leikai office this evening, JCILPS convenor-in-charge BK Moirangcha said that students would form human chains outside their institutes from tomorrow till June 10 between 1 pm and 2 pm.
He also urged the students to raise slogans like 'implement ILPS in Manipur', 'convert the three Bills passed by the State Assembly into Acts', 'take up positive steps regarding agreed terms made between the Government and JCILPS', 'Govt can't suppress ILPS agitation by announcing wanted tag against Kh Ratan and arresting students', 'we condemn wanted tag on Kh Ratan' .
He also appealed the students to resume classes after the completion of this protest at 2 pm.
He also urged the vendors and shopkeepers of all the markets including Khwairamband bazar to put up a placard each in front of their shops in support of JCILPS and ongoing pro-ILPS movement and condemning the wanted tag against Kh Ratan.
BK Moirangcha further said that people would stage demonstration along Sagolband road including Wahengbam Leikai up to Keithelmanbi on 7 June, Konung Mamang up to Irilbung on June 8, Mayai Lambi road from Keishampat to Hiyangthang on June 9, NH-2 from Moirangkhom to Lilong on June 10, Minuthong to Yaingangpokpi on Imphal-Ukhrul road on June 11, Chingmeirong to Awang Sekmai on June 12, Keishampat to Malom on June 13, Lamlong to Ayangpali road up to Kongba on June 14, Keishampat, Wahengbam Leikai, Nagamapal, Khoyathong and Chingmeirong on June 15 .
He also urged the public to stage protest by making human chains and shouting slogans from 2 pm.
Speaking further at the press conference, BK Moirangcha strongly condemned the wanted tag on Khomdram Ratan.
He stated that sudden circulation of a photo on social networking sites is suspected to be a hidden agenda of the Government to suppress the ongoing ILPS movement.
He questioned how a man could be announced 'wanted' within a very short period without verifying the evidence.
BK Moirangcha said that the recent turn of events would never be able to dilute the ongoing agitation.
He also questioned how police and the State Government could level allegations of indulgence in pre-judicial activities, abetment of the innocent public to promote social unrest, rioting and enmity among different sections of people of Manipur against Ratan.
BK Moirangcha further said that JCILPS is against such allegations and would never accept the allegations against Kh Ratan as the present issue is not for a single person but for the future of the people of the whole State.
He also said that the Government must explain how Ratan had created enmity among people.
He further said that the outfit concerned had already clarified that they had no connection with Khomdram Ratan.
BK Moirangcha further said that JCILPS would clear doubts and misconception about the three Bills by holding meetings with the leaders of different communities.
