Chief Minister heaps encomiums on Prime Minister Modi
Amit Shah to inaugurate 100 days' works

Imphal, June 01 2022: All the development works taken up under the State Government's 100 days action plan are nearing completion and Union Home Minister Amit Shah would inaugurate them one after another on or before June 30, stated Chief Minister N Biren.

Addressing a press conference at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP Manipur Pradesh here today on completion of eight years in office by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, N Biren claimed that peace has been restored in Manipur during the last five years and the State Government has succeeded in properly implementing several schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Stating that a new mission is underway under the guidance of the Prime Minister so as to bring great changes in the State, Biren informed that a team headed by an IAS officer and comprising of MCS officers would be constituted for each of the 68 sub-divisions of the State and they would compete on the theme 'one sub-division, one product' .

After the second BJP-led Government's 100 days action plan was announced to the public, the State Government talked with Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday to inaugurate these works.

Amit Shah would come to Imphal on or before June 30 and he would inaugurate some major projects like the Civil Secretariat, water supply projects, veterinary projects etc which were taken up or completed within 100 days, Biren said.

Asserting that it is time for Manipur to march forward, the Chief Minister appealed to all sections of people to shed parochial outlooks.

He said that conservation of forests, eviction of encroachers and expansion of roads are all meant for people's welfare.

He informed that the Central Government has given its approval to the State Government's proposal to seek a loan of Rs 3,500 crore from the World Bank for construction of cement concrete roads in place of the roads which have been severely damaged by the recent downpour/flood.

The State would be developed with a vision in phase manner.

It appears that development of Manipur has just begun, Biren said.

The State was not living with dignity and its boundary was not properly protected.

Security outposts were opened only recently for protection of Tungjoy and Dzuko Valley.

It was also not long ago that a police station was opened at Behiang, Biren said.

"I felt amazed on imagining how the previous Governments discharged their duties and responsibilities", he remarked.

Asserting there should not be any controversy regarding the Government's call to protect reserved forests in the interest of future generations, the Chief Minister appealed to all concerned not to create any issue out of the Government's move to protect reserved forests.

The State Government has been working hard to ensure that several schemes launched by the Prime Minister reach the grassroots level so that whatever gaps that exist/existed between the hills and the valley are plugged.

No external force should conspire to create divisions among the people of Manipur, he warned.

"We are only acting as drivers and soldiers.

We are proud of the changes delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of the country", Biren said.

Even though BJP won 32 seats in the 60-Member Legislative Assembly, BJP opted to form a coalition Government by adhering to its coalition dharma.

"We are collectively running the Government very smoothly after giving two Cabinet berths to the NPF", the Chief Minister continued.

He then underscored the importance of strengthening the party and maintaining healthy relationship between the Government and the party.

He said that BJP Ministers would be asked to go to the party office every Saturday for interaction with party workers.

Releasing a booklet to the public, N Biren hailed Narendra Modi.

Narendra Modi not only brought about many changes in the country in the last eight years starting from 2014 but also raised India's position at different international platforms from being subordinate to the level of equals.

It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who distributed five Kgs of food grains every month to every citizen of the country throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Apart from providing Covid vaccines to all eligible people of the country free of cost, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent Covid vaccine to different countries, Biren said.

"To me, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is like a God", Biren stated.

Again, it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who brought the North East region to the conscience of mainstream India.

He was also instrumental in ensuring Muslim women's rights by abolishing Triple Talaq from India, he added.

BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda, vice-president N Nimbus and many other party leaders were also present at the press conference.
