IEDUCO observes 16th foundation day

Imphal, January 22 2022: The 16th foundation day celebration of Imphal East District United Clubs' Organisation (IEDUCO) was held at TRYSCA community hall at Khurai Ningthoubung Leikai today.

The programme started off by paying homage and floral tributes to the departed members of the organisation and also presented gifts to their respective families.

In connection with the foundation day celebration, the members of IEDUCO went to the residences of renowned Sumang Leela artist Keirao Rajen and playwright Chana Lukhoi and honoured them with simple gifts.

IEDUCO observes 16th foundation day

The foundation day celebration was graced by Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, president AMUCO, T Dwijo, president IEDUCO, former presidents L Lemba Meitei, Ningthoujam Shyamsunder Meitei, Ksh Rajen Meetei and president of Poirei Apunba Leimarol Meira Paibee (PALEM), Khaidem Purnimashi Leima as presidium members.

Speaking as the chief guest, Pheiroijam Nando Luwang expressed concern over the confused state of local clubs and meira paibis regarding their contributions and roles.

He also emphasized that the local clubs and meira paibis to be pro-active and work selflessly to avoid unwanted crimes in connection with the upcoming State Legislative election.

Further he appealed the local clubs and meira paibis not be involved in election related campaigns and urged them to focus on striving for a progressive society.
