Public meeting passes resolutions to bring improvements in Ngaikhong HS

All Clubs Co-ordinating Committee, DESAM and Ngaikhong High School SMDC organised a joint public meeting at Ngaikhong today and passed various resolutions.
The meeting was held to discuss the role of Ngaikhong Khullen High School in providing sound educational guidelines to Ngaikhong Khullen students.
Notably, the gathering resolved to i) take up steps to provide the necessary requirements such as teaching staff, infrastructure and nonteaching staff from 2025 session onwards at Ngaikhong High School, ii) ensure that the Government plugs all shortages in the school so that it can function smoothly as a proper high school, iii) urge the State Government to draft a policy or Act concerning the transfer and posting of teachers and iv) work collectively to transform Ngaikhong High School into an excellent educational institution.
The meeting was graced by Dr Lamabam Mahendra Singh, former chairman, COHSEM; Yanglem Prem Singh, Headmaster Ngaikhong High School; M Bala Devi, chairman, Administrative Committee Ngaikhong GP; Mayengbam Somorjit Meitei, president, DESAM and Khwairakpam Sanamatum Singh, member, Ngaikhong ZP as presidium members and Angonjambam Keilyani, president, AMESTA as the resource person.
On the occasion, Mayengbam Somorjit highlighted the role of Ngaikhong villagers in improving the educational career of the local students.
He also stressed on the need for increased focus on the school, which educates students from pre-primary to high school level, by the Government and Education Department in particular.
Takhellambam Surjit Mangang, general coordinator, All Clubs Co-ordinating Committee said that the meeting was held to consult with experts and discuss ways to improve the school.
