Thoubal, January 10 2023: The District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit (DAPCU) Thoubal organised a 'District Level Capacity Building Training Programme' for People Living with HIV (PLHIV) today at NHM Training Hall, CMO Thoubal Complex today.

It may be noted that the capacity building programme was conducted under the sponsorship of Manipur State AIDS Control Society on the theme "Test and Treat for PLHIVs" .

Dignitaries present at the programme include Dr Y Nokul, CMO Thoubal; Dr Bijendra, District AIDS Control Officer, DAPCU Thoubal and Naorem Jiten.

Representatives of VIHAAN Project Thoubal and around 30 PLHIVs also graced the training programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Y Nokul lauded the PLHIVs of the district for displaying courage in combating this autoimmune disease and not being deterred by feelings of hopelessness.

Following this, an interaction session was conducted wherein the gathering were educated about how to live with this disease while still maintaining their health and protecting themselves from other diseases.
