Women delegates set off for Delhi to attend Women's Reservation Bill protest

Imphal, July 29 2022:
Thirty five women delegates from Manipur set off for Delhi today to attend the protest demanding for the passing of the Women's Reservation Bill in the Parliament.
The women delegates were flagged off from Khwairamband Keithel Temporary Market by Kshetri Tama Devi, Upa Adhyaksha, Imphal East Zilla Parishad today.
Speaking at the sidelines of the flagging off ceremony, Kshetri Tama Devi said that the delegates will participate in the protest to be held at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi from August 1 till 9 demanding for the passing of the Women's Reservation Bill to provide 50 percent reservation for women in the Parliament and Legislative Assemblies in the upcoming monsoon session of the Parliament.
The women delegates were led by L Mema, general secretary Manipur Keithel Nupi Marup, K Ngangbi, State executive member, All Manipur Nupi Marup and members of All India Women Hawkers Federation Manipur, Jano Begum and G Lembi.
