5th edition of MTGS competitions held across three districts

Thoubal, November 01 2026: The 5th State Level Mission Transformation of Government Schools (MTGS) Competition 2026 was held at three places in the State today.

For Imphal West district, the competition was held at DM College of Commerce while the competition was held at Thoubal College for Thoubal district and Ningthoukhong Higher Secondary School for Bishnupur district.

Altogether 1574 students of class III to VIII participated in the 5th edition of MTGS competitions held across the aforementioned three districts.

A team led by Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Wangoi Zone, Arambam Anilkumar and District Inspector of Schools, Zone III, Thoubal, Thoudam Amurashi visited the competition centres and reviewed the conduct of the competition.

Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, ZEO Wangoi Zone, Arambam Anilkumar said that the competition has been organised to improve academic performance, enhance confidence building and encourage competitive spirit to enable them to face any form of competitive examinations among the students of Government and aided schools.

He also expressed gratitude to all who extended support and cooperation for the successful conduct of the competition.
