Yatri Seva Abhiyan underway at Imphal International Airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Imphal International Airport, is observing a 24-day Yatri Seva Abhiyan with a renewed focus on "enhancing passenger experience and fostering a culture of Seva, Swachhata, Sahyog and Service with a Smile" .
The Abhiyan is being organised as a sustained passenger-centric initiative, bringing together passenger facilitation, service quality, safety, cleanliness and courtesy under a common commitment to providing a safe, seamless, efficient and welcoming airport experience, said the airport.
As a part of the campaign, opportunities are being provided for the display and sale of Manipur's handloom, handicrafts and traditional products, enabling local artisans to showcase the State's rich cultural heritage to passengers and visitors.
Local food items are also being promoted at the airport.
The Airport Director said, "Yatri Seva Abhiyan is not merely a 24-day activity; it is an endeavour to transform daily service initiatives into a lasting culture of passenger care.
Every passenger interaction is an opportunity to serve with professionalism, empathy and courtesy, while upholding the highest standards of safety and security" .
The initiative reflects AAI's continued commitment to placing the passenger at the heart of airport operations and creating an environment where service quality, cleanliness, safety, courtesy and hospitality become an integral part of everyday airport culture, said the director.
According to the Airport Director, the key focus of the campaign include--
Passenger facilitation: Ensuring prompt assistance, guidance and support to passengers, particularly senior citizens, persons with disabilities, families, first-time travellers and those requiring special assistance.
Service quality: Enhancing service standards through responsive passenger assistance, efficient processes, better coordination and timely resolution of passenger concerns.
Safety & security: Strengthening safety awareness and encouraging safe practices among passengers, staff and stakeholders, while maintaining a secure and orderly airport environment.
Cleanliness & hygiene: Special cleanliness and hygiene drives are being undertaken across the terminal and passenger areas, with emphasis on maintaining a clean, hygienic and pleasant environment.
Courtesy & hospitality: Promoting a culture of warmth, respect, empathy and courteous behaviour, with every passenger interaction reflecting the spirit of "Service with a Smile" .
